How do we at ‘Adaptive Vehicle Solutions Ltd’ Capture, Store, Share, Use and Handle your personal information.
Capture of personal data:
We capture your personal data in two formats, paper form and electronically (website, Pistonheads, Auto Trader and Car and Classic), Personal information captured includes, Full name, Salutation, Date of Birth, Age, Full Address including postcode, Email-address, Telephone number, Next of kin details including Name, Phone and Email. Furthermore, Criminal history, Previous and current vehicle information, private registration numbers, current financial information including salary earnings, out-goings and financial commitments.
Storage & Handling of captured personal data:
Electronic captured data is collected via the Adaptive Vehicle Solutions Ltd website, Pistonheads, Autotrader and Car and Classic. This information is stored via an email format and kept in a postgres secured database on a UK based server which is located at the Adaptive Vehicle Solutions Ltd head office. A copy of the email is sent to the Adaptive Vehicle Solutions Ltd’ mailbox also known as firstname.lastname@example.org and is controlled by only two individuals (company director Richard Blakeney and Marketing and Customer Relations Executive Nathan Straeker). This is then entered into our local database known as AVIS and located on Adaptive Vehicle Solutions Ltd secure server at our headquarters. Paper-form data is transferred onto the secure AVIS database and is safely stored by Adaptive Vehicle Solutions Ltd I.T Administrator Nathan Straeker and SOS4Biz Director Kerry Straeker.
Sharing of personal data:
With the exception of ‘Adaptive Vehicle Solutions Ltd’ employees, associated finance companies, authorised main dealers and delivery companies, we DO NOT pass any of your personal data to any third parties without your consent.
Use of personal data:
‘Adaptive Vehicle Solutions Ltd’ uses your personal data in order to decide your acceptance to obtain financial approval, the mean’s to purchase either a new or pre-owned vehicle and obtain underwriting of the current vehicle(s) in your possession.
Further to the above, we send email marketing to clients who have circled the option on order forms or who have specifically requested to be assigned to our mailing list. This is generated and sent through Mailchimp. If you wish to unsubscribe from our mailing list you may do so by clicking the link in the footer of the email sent OR sending a written request to be removed to email@example.com.
Without consent of the above personal information, Adaptive Vehicle Solutions Ltd are not able to proceed any further with the car buying / selling process due to GDPR regulations. As some of your personal data is primarily used to determine your eligibility for purchasing or underwriting a vehicle, obtain financial approval against a vehicle(s) and receive quotations for delivery it is important we receive this consent from you the client.
If you provide personal information about someone else, for example a joint application, you must only do so with the consent of the other person. If you enter into a product jointly with another person your data will be shared with the other person. We take the protection of personal data very seriously and we will maintain appropriate safeguards to ensure the security and privacy of the information you have provided.
Deleting the information, we hold on you:
If for any reason you are concerned that the personal information we hold about you is incorrect, or if you would like your personal information removed from our records please contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be happy to review, update or remove information as appropriate. We will keep your information unless you ask us to remove it.
If you are an existing Adaptive Vehicle Solutions Ltd client, we will not be able to delete your information for a period of 6 years even after your arrangement is finished, but we can amend it if required. If you would like to request a copy of the personal data we hold please contact the email above and use the term ‘subject access request’ in the subject line.
