Jaguar have now introduced an All-Electric concept car called the Jaguar I-Pace, and oh my doesn’t it look incredible.
So, what do we know about the Jaguar I-Pace? At present Jaguar have released details that the I-Pace will benefit from a 90kWh battery. The suspected output is around 220 miles by the time it launches.
Within the design, and lack of engine, this has enabled what Jaguar call a “Cab-Forward Design”. Instead Jaguar have developed two electric motors, with around 400 horses under the bonnet and roughly 510lb of Torque.
According to the concept figures, the Jaguar I-Pace can reach a 0-62mph in as little as four (4) seconds! Simply outrageous. To put this into perspective as quick as a Mercedes Benz SLS AMG, Lamborghini Diablo and even Jaguar’s own XKR-S GT.
Jaguar have capitalised on the space gained from a non-traditional drivetrain. Because of this space increase, it in turn has allowed the cabin to be expanded. According to a Jaguar spokesperson, this has made the cabin potentially as large if not bigger than some of the current SUV’s on sale today.
Technology is a big thing especially within the Electric Car Market. The progression of technology is always sought after, we think the Jaguar I-Pace won’t be any different.
A 12-inch touchscreen fitted to the central dashboard area for overall viewing of options fitted. Below this a smaller screen, from appearances a 6-inch screen aimed at the climate control system fitted to the car. Accompanied by two rotary dials (one either side).
The driver display is another 12-inch screen displaying the dials and electric information as well as basic information such as Navigation, Phone Connectivity and Car Information. Touch sensitive buttons located on the steering wheel will help in the navigation of the driver’s display.
One of the biggest questions behind all electric car items, how long will have to wait for it to be charged? Well, in as little as 90 minutes you can charge up to 80% of your battery and in roughly 120 minutes (2 hours); 100% charge.
With sales to commence from the second half of 2018, the Jaguar I-Pace concept is good representation of the final product. Prices are to be confirmed, rest assured as soon as we know, so will you.

At any moment now, Audi are looking to release the new SUV flagship, the Audi SQ7. What do we know?
Well firstly, it is direct competition to JLR’s Range Rover Sport models, benefiting from 429bhp! Under the hood is an ALL NEW 4.0 V8 Diesel Twin Turbocharged Engine, projecting the car from a standstill to 62mph in just 4.8 seconds and 900Nm of Torque!
Now although it is 81bhp difference to the V8 Supercharged Range Rover Sport and 121bhp difference to the SVR. The 0-62mph timing is between one tenth and five tenths of a second slower. Not bad for a car that is between £15,000 – £25,000 cheaper to buy!
Statistically the Audi also prevails in emissions and MPG’s, claimed at 38.2MPG and 194g/km of CO2. With the combined MPG and sensible application of power, you will look to return 700 miles over an increased 85l fuel tank.
Changes over the base Audi Q7 include, new Grille Design, Air Intakes, Exterior Mirror Housing and LED Lighting is now a standard feature. Virtual Cockpit is also standard but for the no needle feature it is an additional cost. You also have the option to add a head-up display.
Other features include Infotainment Centre, MMI System and Bang and Olufsen Sound System.
You will be able to order your vehicle shortly, the first batch of cars are due to arrive August 2016 and start from £70,000.00.
